About the Role
As a Key Account Manager - Sales, you will be the driving force behind our new business acquisition and customer portfolio expansion. This role combines strategic prospecting with intensive account management, requiring you to own ambitious sales targets including new customer acquisitions, gross monthly volumes, revenue targets, and product penetration metrics. You'll be responsible for the complete sales cycle - from initial lead generation and prospecting to deal closure and ongoing account growth optimization. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact business growth while building a strong customer base in the competitive fintech landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic prospecting and lead generation
- Manage and develop relationships with new and existing SMB merchant accounts
- Drive sales targets including customer acquisition, revenue growth, and volume metrics
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to execute go-to-market strategies
- Engage in senior-level sales conversations with business owners and decision-makers
- Analyze sales performance metrics and optimize conversion strategies
- Monitor market trends and identify emerging business opportunities within fintech and payments
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients
- Negotiate contracts and pricing terms to close new business deals
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in fintech sales, business development, or B2B sales
- Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem and SMB merchant needs
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in competitive markets
- Experience with consultative selling and complex sales cycle management
- Comfortable engaging with business owners and senior decision-makers
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with sales metrics and CRM systems
- Excellent communicator and relationship builder, adept at cross-functional collaboration
- Hunter mentality with demonstrated ability to generate new business from scratch
