About the Role:
As a Senior Manager - PMO within PayU's Risk Organization, you will be the driving force behind our strategic risk initiatives, ensuring effective governance, timely delivery, and alignment with business objectives. This role requires a unique blend of program management excellence and a solid understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) frameworks. You will serve as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders, translating complex risk concepts into actionable project plans. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on PayU's risk posture while working with cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced, global fintech environment.
Responsibilities:
Program Governance & Delivery
- Lead and manage complex, cross-functional risk programs from inception to successful completion
- Develop comprehensive program roadmaps, timelines, and resource plans
- Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, including steering committees and escalation procedures
- Track program progress against milestones and deliverables, ensuring timely completion
- Facilitate effective decision-making by providing accurate and timely program status updates
GRC Implementation
- Collaborate with risk stakeholders to implement GRC frameworks and methodologies
- Ensure projects adhere to regulatory requirements and compliance standards
- Establish and maintain documentation for audit purposes and regulatory examinations
- Coordinate risk assessment workshops and risk treatment plans
- Translate regulatory requirements into actionable project deliverables
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across business units and geographies
- Develop effective communication strategies to ensure alignment and buy-in
- Prepare and present regular status updates to executive leadership
- Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts among diverse stakeholders
- Act as a liaison between the Risk Organization and other business units
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the Risk Organization
- Implement standardized project management methodologies and best practices
- Develop templates, tools, and guidelines to enhance project execution
- Measure and report on PMO effectiveness and impact on business outcomes
- Lead knowledge management initiatives to capture and share lessons learned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience in program/project management, with at least 3 years in financial services or fintech
- Demonstrated understanding of GRC frameworks and regulatory requirements in financial services
- Experience implementing risk management systems or processes
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights
- Experience in leading and developing teams
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certification preferred
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and tools
- Experience with risk management tools and GRC platforms is a plus
- Understanding of payment processing systems and associated risks is valuable
- Willingness to travel occasionally (domestic and international)
