About the role 

PayU Digital Labs is on an exciting growth journey — transforming the way digital payments and financial products power businesses across India. As we expand our market reach, we are looking for a seasoned and entrepreneurial business leader to take charge of our India & South Asia growth charter and lead the next phase of our expansion.

This role calls for a strategic yet hands-on sales leader — someone with a growth-hacking mindset and the ability to shape and execute a winning go-to-market strategy across high-impact sectors like BFSI, FinTech, E-commerce, and Digital enterprises. In addition to new business development, this role is accountable to grow our existing partnerships, delivering positive outcomes for our clients and Wibmo. The role requires deep understanding of the B2B sector and digital payments.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead Growth & Market Expansion: Architect and execute a forward-looking sales strategy to accelerate PayU Digital Labs footprint across India & South Asia, identifying new business opportunities while balancing engagement with existing customers to drive sustainable revenue growth. Fostering strong win-win relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and a growth partner to our clients.

Leadership: deliver sales excellence through leading and coaching a high-performance sales team based in different locations across the geography. This role is a key member of the Wibmo Leadership Team

  • Partner Strategy: Responsible for growth and thought leadership across client segments and ensuring our solutions are fit for client context. Work closely with the leadership peer group specifically solutioning, products, delivery and engineering to deliver Wibmo business outcomes.
  • Client Ownership: Head Sales plays an executive leadership role where he/she seeks excellence in all customer engagements inclusive of new initiatives, projects and creates/nurtures the stakeholder relationships externally and internally.
  • Champion Consultative Selling: Combine strong business acumen with depth of client understanding, product and technical insight to deliver compelling value propositions and commercial offerings.
  • Cross-Selling and Upselling: Create cross sell strategies and GTM plans to offer value added products or services to existing clients.
  • Deliver Exceptional Customer Success: Embed a culture of customer obsession — ensuring client satisfaction, long-term retention, and growth.
  • Enable Operational Excellence: Take ownership for delivering sales outcomes with precision, discipline, and measurable impact.
  • Collaboration and Support: Successful in working with the larger organization to meet the customer and company’s goals.
  • People Management: Demonstrated capability of leading teams and supervising people managers through robust goal creation, ongoing coaching and reward strategies to ensure high performance. Build the right organization and drive the overall agenda with passion

 

Requirements

  • Experienced growth business leader having managed a P&L with a focus on strategy and execution. The leader should have experience in getting involved in various parts of business that require specific focus basis maturity stage of the product / merchant / segment.
  • Post-Graduate, with 18+ years of experience in FinTech / Payments/ Banking / Financial Services of which at least 8 years should be in a leadership role.
  • Ability to understand product from technical perspective.
  • Exceptionally good leadership skills having ability to influence cross-functional teams towards a unified direction along with the organisation leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Should have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in managing a sales team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with customers by understanding their requirements
  • Strong business acumen and product expertise to unlock business growth
  • Result-oriented mindset with a focus on driving measurable outcomes and exceeding targets and KPIs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple projects, stakeholders and priorities simultaneously.
