About the Role
We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to work with us as part of UPI team. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for the strategic vision, roadmap, and execution of our UPI payment solutions, driving growth and enhancing the overall merchant and consumer experience. You'll work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and operations teams to deliver best-in-class UPI platform
Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for PayU’s UPI product, aligning with business objectives and market trends.
- Product Ownership: Define and prioritize product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Lead the product lifecycle from concept to launch and beyond.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
- User Experience: Champion a user-centric approach, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience for both merchants and consumers. Gather and analyze user feedback to drive product improvements.
- Payment Method Expertise: Understanding of payment methods will be required. Knowledge of UPI will be an added advantage
- Merchant Experience: Focus on improving the merchant experience for UPI including onboarding, reporting, and issue resolution.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to track product performance, identify areas for optimization, and inform decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with engineering, design, marketing, and operations teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on product progress and performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the fintech industry.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing at-scale products.
- Strong understanding of payment processing and related technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Experience in the Indian payments ecosystem is a plus.
