About the Role:

Join our high-performing Partnerships team at PayU Payments and drive strategic business growth across India's most dynamic digital payment ecosystem. Our Partnerships team is the growth engine of PayU's expansion strategy, building and managing relationships with key merchants, enterprises, and strategic partners that define the future of digital payments in India. We are seeking an experienced P5 Senior Key Account Manager - Partnerships to join our collaborative team in Gurgaon, where you'll work alongside seasoned sales professionals, business development experts, and partnership specialists to manage strategic accounts, drive revenue growth, and expand PayU's market presence through innovative partnership strategies and exceptional relationship management.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Account Management & Business Development:

• Manage and grow a portfolio of 15-20 strategic key accounts including large enterprises, e-commerce platforms, and high-value merchants

• Drive revenue growth and achieve quarterly/annual targets through strategic account expansion and new business development

• Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies to maximize lifetime value and partnership potential

• Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities across PayU's comprehensive payment solutions portfolio

• Conduct regular business reviews with key stakeholders and C-level executives to ensure partnership success

• Negotiate complex commercial agreements, pricing structures, and service level agreements

 

Partnership Development & Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including CEOs, CFOs, and CTOs of strategic partner organizations

• Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized payment solutions that address specific client requirements

• Serve as primary point of contact for escalations and strategic initiatives with key accounts

• Coordinate with Product and Technology teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of payment solutions

• Drive partnership expansion through referral programs and strategic alliance opportunities

 

Sales Excellence & Market Expansion:

• Generate new business opportunities through market research, networking, and strategic prospecting

• Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and CRM management

• Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations to senior stakeholders

• Collaborate with Marketing teams on account-based marketing initiatives and partner events

• Represent PayU at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build brand presence

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Solution Design:

• Work closely with Product Management teams to influence product roadmap based on client feedback and market needs

• Collaborate with Implementation and Customer Success teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing satisfaction

• Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to structure agreements that meet regulatory requirements

• Coordinate with Financial Operations teams to optimize settlement and reconciliation processes for key accounts

• Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to senior leadership and product teams

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field

• MBA or advanced degree preferred

• 8-10 years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships with proven track record of exceeding targets

• 3-4 years of experience in key account management or strategic partnerships

• 2-3 years of experience in fintech, payments, banking, or related technology sectors

• Demonstrated experience managing enterprise accounts with annual contract values of ₹1 crore and above

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in competitive markets

• Strong understanding of digital payments ecosystem, including payment gateways, UPI, card processing, and emerging payment methods

• Experience with complex B2B sales cycles and enterprise solution selling methodologies

• Proven ability to negotiate commercial agreements and manage contract renewals

• Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics tools

• Understanding of merchant onboarding processes and payment integration requirements
