About the Role

As an Assistant Manager of Procurement & Operations, you will be responsible for end-to-end procurement activities across multiple categories including Admin, MEP, Marketing, and other general categories. This role is pivotal in driving cost optimization initiatives that directly impact the company's P&L. You will ensure timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining compliance with procurement policies and best practices. Additionally, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate procurement data and generating timely reports for management decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute procurement activities for assigned categories (Admin, MEP, Marketing, and general requirements) in alignment with business needs and timelines
  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies, tactics, and negotiation approaches to achieve organizational cost-saving objectives
  • Negotiate favorable commercial terms and conditions, and establish comprehensive contracts/agreements with vendors
  • Process requirements within agreed TATs to ensure high satisfaction levels among internal business teams and external vendors/agencies
  • Ensure strict compliance with company policies, processes, best practices, and other regulatory norms to maintain audit readiness
  • Prepare and submit timely reviews and reports as per business and management requirements
  • Identify opportunities for process simplification and quality improvement to create synergies across different business units
  • Maintain productive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed about pricing trends and supplier capabilities


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, negotiations, or procurement operations, with at least 4 years specifically handling Admin, MEP, Marketing, Retail, and other general purchases
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and legal agreement closures
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in large corporate or listed companies
  • Educational qualification: Preferably an undergraduate Engineering degree from a reputed university OR a Commerce graduate with MBA from a reputed B-School
  • Proficiency in digital tools including SAP/Oracle, Power BI/Tableau, MS Office 365, and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry standards
