With credit being the key business priority, Lazypay and Paysense, the alternate lending platforms, have been developed to offer credit solutions such as small ticket credit (Buy Now, Pay Later), app based personal loans and point of sale credit (Merchant EMI).

 

The role is responsible for strategy development, monitoring and maintenance across repayment and collections. Responsibilities include understanding and tracking of performance of treatment programs, and making recommendations that improve outcomes, designing digital campaigns and experimenting parallel test to optimise the treatment strategy. Coordinating the production of strategy performance reports and updates for senior management. The role holder will partner closely with Collections Operations, Finance, Risk and Data Science team, to update the progress made, what actions are in pipeline and formulate deliverables per PayU objectives.

 

Specific Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

Development of measurable strategies for risk mitigation which optimise the risk and reward performance through understanding of customer behaviours and impacts to overall repayment while keeping in mind the cost associated with it

Assist with the delivery of strategy guardrail performance

Analyse the relative success of the strategy suite and deliver strategy insight, recommending corrective actions as necessary

Proactively raise self-assessment issues and execute self-assessment of strategy programs to ensure they are delivering expected actions

Proactively seek opportunities and assume responsibility for prioritisation of own workload

Test, learn and rapid cycle re-forecasting of strategy financial performance

Partner with Collections & Recoveries operations team to deliver effective analytical environment that supports comprehensive strategy performance tracking

Partner with key stakeholders from across the business as required to develop and execute co-ordinated, robust, compliant and coherent treatment strategies

 

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting

5+ years’ experience in credit risk management roles (preferably consumer loans) in an Indian bank, NBFC, or e-commerce start-up. Past work in Collection strategy and analytics is a PLUS

1+ years’ experience in people management role

 

Required skills:

Strong analytical mind-set and numeric abilities • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 Strong knowledge of credit risk analysis/underwriting principles, methods, and practices Proficient with MS Office. Experienced in data analysis tools like SQL, Tableau is preferred

Ability to approach problems in a quantitative and qualitative manner, attention to details

Strong collaboration skills, and the ability to build rapport with members of other departments
