The Business Finance team is at the heart of our organization's financial strategy and decision-making. With a focus on data-driven solutions, process optimization, and strategic planning, the FP&A team plays a critical role in shaping financial outcomes, driving efficiencies, and delivering impactful business value.
About the Role
As Director – Business Finance, you will lead our financial strategy and planning initiatives, serving as a key strategic partner to the CFO and executive leadership team. Reporting to a Senior Team Member, you will oversee the FP&A function, driving enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, and performance management. Your leadership will shape the organization's financial narrative, influence strategic business decisions, and build world-class financial analytics capabilities. This executive role requires a visionary leader who can transform data into strategic insights while building and mentoring a high-performing team of financial professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial planning strategies aligned with organizational objectives
- Drive annual operating plan development, quarterly forecasting processes, and long-range strategic planning initiatives
- Provide executive leadership with strategic financial insights and recommendations for business expansion, investment decisions, and resource allocation
- Champion financial transformation initiatives and lead cross-functional strategic projects
- Build, lead, and mentor a team of FP&A professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Establish performance standards, provide coaching, and drive professional development across the team
- Collaborate with HR on talent acquisition, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives
- Serve as trusted financial advisor to C-suite executives and board members
- Lead financial reviews, board presentations, and executive briefings on business performance and strategic initiatives
- Partner with business unit leaders to drive performance improvement and strategic decision-making
- Oversee enterprise-wide financial performance analysis, variance reporting, and KPI tracking
- Drive the creation of sophisticated financial models, scenario planning, and predictive analytics
- Establish and monitor key business metrics, profitability analysis, and margin optimization strategies
- Lead budget management processes and expense optimization initiatives across the organization
- Drive digital transformation of financial planning processes through automation and advanced analytics
- Establish best practices, standardization, and governance frameworks for financial planning and analysis
- Lead enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Champion the adoption of cutting-edge financial technologies and data visualization tools
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and industry trend assessment
- Lead M&A financial analysis, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration support
- Drive strategic initiatives including new market entry analysis, product profitability assessment, and capital allocation decisions
Requirements:
- CA, CFA, or MBA from a top-tier institution
- 8-12 years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record in managing teams and driving organizational change
- Experience in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments preferred
- Exceptional leadership skills with demonstrated ability to build and develop high-performing teams
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills with experience presenting to C-suite and board level
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management capabilities across all organizational levels
- Strategic thinking with ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable business insights
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical techniques
- Expert-level skills in Excel, PowerBI/Tableau, and financial planning software
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced data analytics tools
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience in strategic planning, business case development, and investment analysis
- Track record of driving process improvements and digital transformation initiatives
- Experience with M&A transactions, capital markets, and investor relations preferred
- Strong business acumen with deep understanding of industry dynamics and market trends
