M2 Senior Manager - Inbound Sales Strategy

The Sales Strategy Team at PayU specializes in identifying and capturing strategic business opportunities with government establishments across India. We develop and implement sophisticated go-to-market strategies tailored for government bodies, public sector enterprises, and regulatory agencies. About the Role:
As Senior Manager – Inbound Sales Strategy, you’ll play a strategic and enabling role within the team, focusing on nurturing and maximizing inbound leads and opportunities originating from government bodies, PSUs, and related regulatory agencies. You will own the end-to-end journey for inbound public sector engagements, from opportunity identification and assessment to enablement and handover to sales execution. This role requires a mix of analytical rigor, process orientation, and collaboration to ensure PayU efficiently capitalizes on inbound opportunities and strengthens its market presence in India’s dynamic public sector.
Responsibilities:
Inbound Opportunity Management
- Qualify, prioritize, and manage inbound leads from central/state governments, public sector units, and regulatory bodies
- Deep-dive into public sector requirements and map them to PayU’s payment and fintech solutions
- Develop robust opportunity assessment frameworks to swiftly and effectively qualify high-impact opportunities
Sales Process Enablement
- Design and drive repeatable, scalable processes for evaluating inbound public sector leads and RFPs
- Support and coordinate the response to government tenders, EOIs, RFPs, and other inbound opportunities
- Partner with sales, product, compliance, and legal to deliver tailored, compelling proposals
Market & Policy Intelligence
- Stay abreast of regulatory trends, policy developments, and digital governance programs impacting government business
- Share timely insights with the leadership and strategy teams for informed decision-making
- Position PayU for success within changing regulatory frameworks
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop customized go-to-market approaches for public sector entities
- Facilitate seamless coordination between business development, solutioning, compliance, and other functions
- Help drive internal advocacy and readiness for public sector initiatives
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track, analyze, and report key metrics measuring inbound opportunity conversion and pipeline health
- Identify process bottlenecks and implement best practices to boost efficiency and win rates
- Contribute ideas and feedback to enhance PayU’s positioning and approach in the government sector
Requirements:
Experience & Education:
- 7–12 years of experience in inbound sales strategy, business development, sales support, or account management (preferably in fintech, BFSI, SaaS, or consulting)
- Proven track record of managing and converting high-quality inbound leads across diverse customer segments, including enterprise and mid-market clients
- Prior exposure to digital payments, financial services, or technology-driven sales environments is a strong plus
- MBA or equivalent qualification from a reputed institution preferred

- Strong understanding of inbound sales processes, sales funnel management, and customer onboarding best practices
- Demonstrated ability to analyze inbound leads, map client needs, and build tailored value propositions
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and project management skills
