About:

PayU Finance, the lending arm of PayU and a Prosus-backed business, builds digital credit products including personal loans, transactional credit, checkout finance, and business loans.

LazyPay is one of PayU Finance's digital credit and payments products, offering services such as Buy Now, Pay Later, personal loans, and bill payments through its mobile applications.

We are looking for an Senior Software Engineer - iOS to join our Mobile Engineering team and help build and scale LazyPay's iOS experience.

Requirements:

- 4-5 years of professional experience in iOS development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
- Good understanding of iOS architecture, lifecycle, memory management, concurrency, and multithreading.
- Experience with async/await, URLSession, REST APIs, JSON, and third-party SDK integrations.
- Understanding of design patterns such as MVVM and principles of clean, modular, and reusable code.
- Strong knowledge of error handling, debugging, performance optimisation, and crash analysis.
- Experience writing unit tests, UI tests, and integration tests.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated quality checks, build automation, and App Store release processes.
- Ability to independently own and deliver features with minimal supervision.
- Exposure to Java and Spring Boot is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience in Fintech - UPI, Payments, Wallet preferred.

Responsibilities:

- Independently design, develop, test, and release iOS features.
- Build user experiences using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
- Improve application performance, reliability, stability, and user experience.
- Implement robust error handling for API failures, network issues, validation errors, and unexpected states.
- Integrate APIs and collaborate with product, design, QA, and backend teams.
- Contribute to the mobile backend owned by the Mobile Engineering team, supporting a flexible, server-driven mobile experience.
- Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and release workflows.
- Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly for debugging, test creation, documentation, and productivity.
