About the Role
We are seeking Software Test Engineer with 1-4 years of experience to ensure the reliability and performance of our software applications.
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for designing and writing test plans, and must have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute test cases.
- Perform SQL queries to validate data integrity.
- Assist in the design and implementation of performance testing strategies.
- Write and maintain test scripts using Java or Python.
- Report defects with precision and clarity, and track them to resolution.
- Collaborate with development teams, Product teams to understand new and existing functionality.
- Participate in the review of software requirements and design documents.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
- Stay updated with the latest API testing tools and technologies.
Requirements:
- 1-4 years of experience in software testing, with exposure to API testing tools (Ex: Postman).
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation.
- Basic understanding of performance testing principles.
- Familiarity with Java or Python programming languages.
- Experience with defect tracking tools and software testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Ability to design and write comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering.
