About the role:

 

The Head of HR Data & Analytics will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive HR analytics strategy that transforms raw HR data into actionable insights. This role will lead a team of 2/3 HR data analysts and work closely with HR business partners, HR COEs, other enabling functions such as IT, Admin, Finance to establish metrics, reporting frameworks, and predictive models that support strategic workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.

 

1. Data Architecture & Management (Data Lake & ETL)

  • Manage the HR Data Lake: Oversee the structure, maintenance, and optimization of the HR Data Lake to ensure it serves as a reliable single source of truth.
  • ETL Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to automate the flow of data from various HR systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Payroll, Benefits) into the Data Lake.
  • Data Integrity: Monitor data quality and consistency, troubleshooting pipeline failures and ensuring data privacy/compliance (GDPR/CCPA) standards are met.

2. Visualization & Reporting (Power BI)

  • Dashboard Creation: Develop and maintain advanced interactive dashboards in Power BI to track key HR metrics such as attrition, headcount, recruitment efficiency, and DEI (Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion).
  • Storytelling with Data: Translate complex datasets into clear, visual narratives that help HR Business Partners and Leadership make evidence-based decisions.

3. HR Analytics & Strategy

  • Trend Analysis: Analyse historical data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in workforce dynamics.
  • Predictive Modelling: Assist in building basic predictive models (e.g., attrition risk, hiring forecasting) to support strategic workforce planning.

 

 

 

 

Must-Have Technical Skills:

  • Experience: 3–4 years of proven experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field (HR domain preferred but not mandatory if technical skills are strong).
  • Visualization: Expert proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modelling).
  • Data Engineering: Hands-on experience managing Data Lakes and building/optimizing ETL pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Python, or SQL-based procedures.
  • Database Management: Strong command of SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.

Preferred Functional Skills:

  • Understanding of HR metrics (Turnover Rate, Time-to-Fill, Cost-per-Hire).
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical HR stakeholders.
