Manager - Strategy

3-6 years, with 2+ years in Fintech/lending (preferably Portfolio management) 

About the role: 

We are looking for Portfolio manager to manager paylater portfolio within Transactional Credit vertical of PayU Finance. This would include management of both in house paylater brand - Lazypay and merchant partnership whitelabel paylater programs. The scope of the role would be: 

  1. Driving engagement, spends and portfolio health across these programs 

  1. Leading the strategic effort to cross-sell and migrate whitelabled program users to in-house Lazypay paylater  

Key responsibilities: 

  1. Portfolio Management & Growth 

  1.  Own engagement, activation and spends metrics across Lazypay BNPL and other whitelabel programs; build cohort, vintage and RFM-style analyses to identify growth and risk pockets 

  1. Design and run programs to lift transacting user %, frequency and ticket size – offers, limit management, category unlocks, nudges and lifecycle campaigns 

  1. Track program-level P&L drivers and figure out initiatives to drive profitability 

  1. Partner with Risk, Collections, Product and the merchant-facing teams to balance growth with portfolio quality 

  1. Support onboarding of 2–3 new partner programs this year – defining success metrics, monitoring ramp-up, and feeding learnings back into portfolio strategy. 

  1. Whitelabel-to-Lazypay Platform Migration 

  1. Lead the initiative to bring existing whitelabel users onto the Lazypay platform, leveraging their existing KYC to enable a simplified, high-conversion onboarding flow 

  1. Build the customer identification and prioritization logic (dedup, segmentation, propensity to activate) across programs 

  1. Design merchant-independent activation strategies  

  1. Define and pilot incentive structures (offers, limit bumps, cashback) to drive first transaction on Lazypay post-migration 

  1. Build the measurement framework (funnel from eligible base → outreach → install → activation → repeat spends)  

 

 

What we are looking for 

  • Strong analytical foundation: comfort with SQL, Excel and Python: able to independently pull, structure and interpret large transaction/customer datasets. 

  • Portfolio / growth experience: prior exposure to lending, BNPL, cards, payments or subscription businesses where engagement and portfolio quality were tracked and actioned. 

  • Program / project management: ability to run multi-stakeholder initiatives end-to-end – from problem framing to pilot to scale – with minimal hand-holding 

  • A person with bias for execution, can run multiple experiments 

  • Good to have: Cross-functional influence: experience working with Risk, Compliance, Product, Tech and Collections; comfortable navigating ambiguity
