About the team: 

PayU Finance is the credit and lending arm of the PayU brand (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Prosus group. Previously Naspers group) headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands. 

PayU Finance India has disbursed about 20 billion loans to date by volume and has disbursed more than $280 million in consumer credit. PayU Finance provides consumers with easy access to affordable short-term loans up to INR 5 lacs that can be availed in the form of personal loans, point of sale EMI, and express loans. 

PayU Finance operates under two brands - LazyPay and PaySense with a focus on Buy now Pay later and personal loan products. 

 

About the Role: As a Lead Salesforce Engineer you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce solutions that align with business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and ensure the Salesforce platform is optimized to meet organizational needs. This is a leadership role that requires technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.

What you’ll be doing: 

- Solution Design & Development: Lead the design and development of scalable Salesforce solutions, including custom applications, integrations, and workflows. 

- Platform Optimization: Ensure the Salesforce platform is optimized for performance, scalability, and usability. 

- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of Salesforce developers, providing technical direction and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. 

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure alignment with business goals. 

- Integration Management: Oversee the integration of Salesforce with other enterprise systems and third-party applications. 

- Code Quality & Standards: Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes. 

- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Salesforce-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption. 

- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, processes, and configurations. 

- Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices to recommend and implement improvements. 

  

What are we looking for?  

  • Someone with at least 7+ years of experience in Salesforce development and administration. 
  • Proficiency in Salesforce technologies, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL. Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and ETL tools. 
  •  Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modeling, and security. 
  •  Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities. 
  •  Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Someone who takes ownership and believes in seeing through tasks to its completion despite facing any challenge. 
  • Someone who can work both independently and in collaboration with the team as and when the situation demands for it. 
  • Someone who is not averse to learning and growth and has an open mind about inputs/suggestions from any stakeholder. 

 

 

Bonus point if you have: 

  • Experience in the Fintech domain and/ or B2C product experience. 
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
